We dig games, and we like staying fit… so we made a game that makes fitness fun. We use all of our “evil and addictive” video game tricks for good now, helping other people maintain more active and healthy lifestyles. Future members of our team have ambition and a severe hatred for the word “can’t.”

If you want to be involved with a start up that is breaking new ground and will routinely challenge you to figure out a way to do something that hasn’t been done yet, then this might be the place for you. We are not your next job. We might be your next adventure though.

All positions are for our Midtown Atlanta studio.

Back End Coder

The back end coder will work with the engineering team to further develop the UtiliFIT engine and “under the hood” functions of the game.

Requirements

  • Very proficient (3+ years) in PHP, MSSQL, and Code Igniter.
  • jQuery, Kendo, jQuery Mobile, and AWS experience a plus.
  • Native iOS and Android app experience a plus.
  • Experience scaling out large websites/apps and debugging performance issues in large scale production environments

    • Candidates with less experience but outstanding portfolios will be considered. Willingness to wade through Joey’s spaghetti code a plus.

    Front End/Webapp Coder

    The front end/webapp coder will work heavily with both design and engineering team members to implement creative/design requirements into functioning code for web and mobile.

    Requirements

  • Very proficient (4+ years) in jQuery, HTML5/CSS, PHP, and mobile architecture.
  • jQuery Mobile, MSSQL, a plus.
  • Ability to work from graphical mockups (Photoshop) to create interactive web experiences and iterate on user experience.
  • Can create rich interactive web/mobile apps that include dynamic content loading, rich graphical effects, and animations and transitions with web standards technologies.

    • Candidates with less experience but outstanding portfolios will be considered. Ability to implement Jeff’s designs to pixel for pixel perfection will be regarded… favorably.

    Database and Customer Support Intern

    Want to intern at a fun upstart game company? We’re looking for a detail oriented person to fill a paid internship spot focusing on customer support and quality assurance, with frequent ad hoc query creation. Extensive experience with T-SQL mandatory, and MSSQL a big bonus. Previous experience in QA and testing methodologies or testing automation technologies a big plus. Ability to communicate intricate steps to reproduce hard to find bugs to prima donna programmers, also a big plus.

    Like games and exercise? FIX is seeking a Customer Service Intern to learn tier one CS and process support customer orders.
